This beautiful sculpture embodies the grace and movement of the Koi fish, which symbolises strength, perseverance and good fortune in East-Asian culture.
The first in a collection of 3 pieces, this Koi has been sculpted in clay, with fins made from hand-forged metal. It has then been hot cast into foundry bronze using the traditional lost wax method, before being gold plated in 24ct gold and enamelled in a watercolour-like range of warm hues.
